Will Lowe's Speculative Fiction Project
My prose is mediocre.
My thoughts are strings of cliches.
My links are absent.... I am known to stare in the face of the mysteries of the
universe ...and blink. "What is a star?" asks one of Nietzsche's herd. Like all
writing that interests me, science fiction has its appeal in awakening curiousity. It
moves beyond the confindent empirical scientist's assertion "A star is a fiery ball
of gas" toward a vision that perceives stars as signs of opening rather than
closure.
I am particularly interested in the relationship between femininsm and science
fiction. I can't say that I've explored the issues enough to even make a tentative
proposal concerning the specific angle of inquiry.
