Open Sesame
The mode is postmodern, like hypertext, multilinear and designed by the
reader's reading. But this emerging form is also enframed in complex ways
by the technologies of representation, information, and capital. These
are writerly
texts, to use the Barthesian term, but also simulacra, techne, and
wealth.
Does the hyperliterature 'text' predate hypertext itself, the way
postmodern predates modernism?
Will this emerge as a genre?
