Future Shock

As promised, here is a bit of the Philip K. Dick material we tantalized you with in last month’s editorial, a couple of pictures on page three of a visit to his grave in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and one of the striking photos, below, of Phil and Wanda, of which he was so proud. Perhaps you can see George Barr’s signature on her midriff. And for those of you who missed the Philip K. Dick society mailings between 1984 and 1992, they are still available in groups and as a whole from Paul Williams (c/o PKDS at P.O. Box 231155, Encinitas, CA 92023, e-mail 102705.3522@compuserve.com). The mailings include newsletters, a tape, more pictures, and wonderful information about PKD.

We are also pleased to present in this issue our biggest Read This ever, the complete Tiptree Award lists for this year, and an extensive letter column.

Please note that our next issue will be delayed between one and two weeks, so that although you may get this July issue before the end of June, you will not receive your August issue until after the beginning of August. Do not despair. It is just that too many of us are travelling to SFRA or Westercon or Readercon or Rivercon to complete work on another issue before late July. We’ll have some correspondence between Avram Davidson and PKD then, perhaps more on or by Fritz Leiber, and many other surprises.
